About the Sunbirds (17-24, 13-14 PacWest)
After going 8-4 over its' previous 12 games, Fresno Pacific dropped the final three games to #25 Azusa Pacific last weekend at home.
Tristen Alvarez continues to lead the team with a .335 average, while
Brian Hefner went deep against APU to regain the top spot on FPU's home run list this spring. Freshman utility man
Garrett Cooper has racked up six saves this season and would slide into a tie for third on the single-season list with one more. The Sunbirds have hit .297 in league games, good enough for third on the conference leaderboard, while averaging just north of five runs in those games.

About the Urban Knights (17-25, 6-21 PacWest)
ARTU is coming off a four-game series over non-conference opponent Corban, taking three of four from the Volcanoes in Oregon last weekend. Thomas Delgadillo enters the series as the leading hitter in the PacWest Conference, hitting an impressive .435 over 41 games. He has produced 21 multi-hit games for the Urban Knights this season and has reached base in 14 straight, his second longest streak of the season.
The Sunbirds are 22-6 in the all-time series against Academy of Art, including a 10-3 record in Fresno. FPU outscored the Urban Knights 30-12 last season in Oakland to take three of the four-game of the series.
