As a Junior (2018) - Started all 46 games at shortstop for the Sunbirds....hit .282 with eight doubles and 19 RBI....hit first career home run in a 6-3 victory over ninth-ranked Chico State (2/3)....third on the team with six steals....second on the team with 30 runs scored....recorded three games with three or more hits.

As a Sophomore (2017) - Started 43 games at shortstop for the Sunbirds....hit .239 with eight doubles and 16 RBI....stole three bases....had walk-off hits in back-to-back games against Concordia....fielding percentage of .980 led all PacWest shortstops....ranked sixth in the PacWest with 127 assists....turned 20 double plays....named PacWest Defensive Player of the Year after committing just four errors in 205 chances.

As a Freshman (2016) - Appeared in 43 games with 40 starts....hit .257 with five doubles and seven RBI....scored 31 runs....stole two bases.

Prior to FPU - Played four years of varsity baseball at Madera High School under coach Andy Underwood....earned first team all-league honors and the Silver Slugger award....batted .389....in his best game performance, he went 4-4, hitting three triples and a single while recording six RBI's....also played football for three years.

Personal - Son of David and Maria Alvarez....has three siblings: Mariyah, Joshua, and Aiden....person he most admires is his dad....favorite movie is The Perfect Game....favorite food is rigatoni....roots for the Oakland Raiders....favorite athlete is Jose Altuve....hobbies include playing ping pong, tennis, basketball and fishing....Tristen is a kinesiology major with plans of becoming a physical therapist.
