HOW IT HAPPENED:
• A throwing error helped the Sunbird plate the first run of the game in the second inning, and Michael Warkentin's infield single plated a second run two innings later.

• Ross Dodds continued his recent hot streak, tripling in Brian Hefner in the sixth before the Sharks scratched across three in the home half.
• Tristen Alvarez' sac fly gave FPU a 7-3 lead before the stretch, but HPU took advantage of a fielding error in the bottom half to once again cut their deficit to three.
• Alvarez brought in two runs with a double down the left field line to provide the 'Birds with some insurance in the ninth before Hefner reached on an error to make it 10-4.
• The Sharks gave the Sunbirds a scare in the bottom of the ninth, scoring four runs before FPU was finally able to record the final out and take a 2-1 series lead.
• HPU got on the board first in the series finale, scoring two runs in the second behind a Tanner Tokunaga single and a Sean Coffey sac fly.
• Dodds beat out an infield single to plate Alvarez in the third, and Lewis tied the game with a fielder's choice three innings later.
• The Sharks retook the lead in the home sixth, but Ben Coito trotted in on a passed ball to again pull the Sunbirds even the following inning.
