FPU cruised past Academy of Art in last week's only game, defeating the Urban Knights 89-73 at San Francisco's historic Kezar Pavilion.
Ashley Cross turned in a team-high 20 points as one of five Sunbirds to get into double-figures, while
Cassie Pisik recorded her fifth double-double of the year with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Guards
Jessica Malazarte and
Bree Alvarez rank eight and tenth respectively on the league leaderboard in scoring, while the Blue and Orange have the league's best turnover margin as a team.Â

About the Penguins (11-2, 8-1 PacWest)
Dominican has won five straight dating back to December 19, including a 26-point victory over Biola last Saturday. PacWest leading scorer Natalie Diaz turned in game-highs in points (25) and rebounds (11), while Alanna Scott poured in 22 points of her own. The Penguins lead the league in scoring offense at just under 80 points per game so far, shooting a league-best 48.3% from the field as team along the way.

FPU snapped a six-game losing skid against Dominican in the final game of the season last spring, defeating the Penguins 80-68 in San Rafael. The Sunbirds claim a 15-7 record in the all-time series, though FPU hasn't defeated Dominican in Fresno since 2004.Â

About the Argos (3-10, 2-7 PacWest)
NDNU went 1-1 last week, defeating Chaminade on Thursday before coming up short against Azusa Pacific on Saturday afternoon. The Argos gave the league-leading Cougars all they could handle, highlighted by Anaya Rodisha and Lindsay Bates combining for 30 points and 11 rebounds. Notre Dame de Namur ranks second in the league in three-point percentage, connecting on 33% from behind the arc.

The Argos have won four straight head-to-head meetings, but the Sunbirds have a 13-6 advantage in the all-time series. FPU has gone 7-3 at home against NDNU, including an eight-point loss last season.
