FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific volleyball team was outlasted by Notre Dame de Namur on Monday night in PacWest action, 3-2. FPU went up two sets to one before the Argos stormed back to escape Fresno with a five-set victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds won the first and third sets of the match to put themselves in the driver's seat.Â
• The third set was tight throughout before a pair of kills from
Madison Pierce and an attack error from NDNU gave FPU three of the last four points to make the match 2-1 in favor of the 'Birds.
• FPU then went cold on offense the final two sets, being held to a negative attack percentage in the fourth and fifth sets to allow the Argonauts to come back and win the match.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

Carley Bock shined for the Sunbirds, as the senior totaled game highs of 17 kills and 25 digs.Â

Christina Tran added an impressive triple-double of 13 kills, 27 assists, 19 digs and one service ace for the 'Birds, while
Chantel Montayre totaled 22 digs.
• The Sunbirds were held to .063 hitting on the night, while NDNU countered at .180.
• Destiny Williams led the Argos with 13 kills.
