Sunbirds Head to Oakland for Season’s Final Series

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific baseball team is set to wrap up the 2018 season this week, taking on Holy Names in a four-game PacWest Conference series beginning on Wednesday afternoon.

About Fresno Pacific (16-26, 13-23 PacWest)
• Two weeks ago in San Diego, the Sunbirds were swept by a Point Loma team that has yet to drop a conference series this season.
• First baseman Hunter Villanueva launched three home runs on the weekend, making him three shy of tying FPU's all-time record in that category.
Eddie Sievers reached base safely in each game against the Sea Lions and has now done so in 22 consecutive games, one of the best marks in the PacWest Conference this season.
• On the mound, Alex Garcia leads the team in innings pitched (77.2), complete games (3), and earned run average (2.20).
