• The Trailblazer offense struck for two runs in each of the next three innings to take a 6-2 lead.

• The final Sunbird run of the night came on an Adam Aleman's double to left in the top of the seventh, plating Robby Steves from second base.
• Dixie State added six runs over its' final two trips to the plate, taking a 13-3 lead in the eighth inning.
• FPU starter Esteban Lizaola was tagged for six runs on nine hits through five innings, and the bullpen provided little relief.
• Dixie State's Matt Mosca picked up the win after limiting the Sunbirds to two runs over the first six chapters, and Jimmy Borzone punched out four batters en route to earning the three-inning save.
