FPU Baseball Welcomes Streaking Eagles for Four Games

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific baseball team is scheduled to host Biola for a four-game PacWest Conference series this week, opening with a doubleheader on Thursday before wrapping up the series on Saturday afternoon.

• The Sunbirds dropped last weekend's league series with #2 Azusa Pacific three games to one, marking FPU's first series loss at home this season.
• After going 7-for-12 at the plate last weekend, catcher Braden Frankfort enters this week having reached base in each of his last 14 games, the longest such streak on the team.

• The Eagles bring a five-game winning streak into Thursday's meeting, defeating Vanguard and Saint Katherine in midweek games after taking the final three games and the series against Hawai'i Hilo.
• Outfielder Jerron Largusa has carried a hot bat for the Eagle offense, as 10 of his 29 hits have gone for extra bases. He also leads the team with a .433 average to date, good enough for eighth individually in the PacWest Conference.
• Senior Micah Beyer has been near unhittable at the top of the Biola rotation, fanning 40 and allowing just two walks in 28.0 innings. The right hander has allowed just three runs over his first two league starts.
• Biola has been consistent regardless of location, as their home record (7-2) is identical to their record on the road.
