• The Sunbirds are coming off a three-game road series against 9th-ranked Chico State that saw the Wildcats sweep Friday's doubleheader before FPU bounced back with a 6-3 win on Saturday.

About Sonoma State
• The Seawolves opened the season last weekend, hosting Holy Names on Friday before making the return trip for a Saturday doubleheader.
• Sonoma State looked to be in midseason form, hitting .290 as a team and posting a staff ERA of just 2.00 en route to sweeping the Hawks.
• Third baseman Joshua Lenney had perhaps the biggest weekend at the dish, going 4-for-9 with a double, two homers, seven RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.222.
• Starters Dominic Garihan and Tyson Canfield combined for seven innings and nine strikeouts without allowing a run, but neither was able to pick up the decision.
• The Seawolves and Sunbirds only met once last season, with Sonoma State emerging with a 2-0 victory in Santa Rosa. FPU claims a 4-3 edge in the all-time series, including a perfect 3-0 mark in Fresno.
