About the Sunbirds (4-1)
FPU is coming off an 83-74 victory over UC Merced on Monday evening, when four players scored in double-figures for the third straight game. Bree Alvarez led all scorers with 21 points, while Cassie Pisik turned in her second double-double of the year after leading the team in rebounds. Monday's game saw each team commit 17 turnovers, marking the first time this season that the Blue and Orange failed to win the turnover battle. The three-ball continues to be a big part of the Sunbird scheme, as FPU is undefeated when making five or more from behind the arc.

Leaderboard
About the Silverswords (1-2)
Chaminade has yet to play a game away from its' home floor, where the Swords fell in a tight battle to Northwestern Oklahoma State last Friday. Senior forward Hunter Liftee led all scorers with 25 points, while Destiny Castro went for 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Thursday's game is sure to be an offensive battle, as it will feature three of the top five scorers in the league (Castro – 3rd, Liftee – 4th, Malazarte – 5th).

All-Time Series (FPU vs. Chaminade)
FPU leads the all-time series against the Silverswords 5-3, including a pair of wins in the second half of last season. Malazarte and Castro both scored in double-figures in each meeting. The Sunbirds are 2-2 all-time against Chaminade in Honolulu.

About the Sharks (1-4)
HPU most recently fell to Alaska Anchorage in the Coast-To-Coast Classic last week, handing the Sharks their fourth loss in their first five games. Hawai'i Pacific was able to cut the deficit to four in the final quarter against the 6th-ranked Seawolves, but UAA pulled away down the stretch. Three Sharks (Samantha Lambrigtsen, Alysha Marucci, Lauryn Hippolite) are averaging 11 points per game or better, with Lambrigtsen ranking second individually in the league in field goal percentage.

All-Time Series (FPU vs. Hawai'i Pacific)
After FPU won the first two meetings, the Sharks have won seven straight dating back to 2014. Fresno Pacific has never defeated HPU as a visiting team.

About the Vulcans (2-0)
Hawai'i Hilo opened the season with a pair of games against Multnomah two weeks ago, defeating the Lions on both occasions. After a pair of double-doubles to begin her sophomore campaign, Allie Navarette leads the team in both rebounding (10.0 RPG) and scoring (16.0 PPG). The Vulcans are shooting at a 40% clip from behind the arc, led by Alyssa Movchan's 57% effort.

All-Time Series (FPU vs. Hawai'i Hilo)
FPU enters this week with a 4-5 record all-time against the Vulcans, but the Sunbirds have had the upper hand in each of the last two meetings. On their last visit to Hilo (2/1/18), Bree Alvarez and Jessica Malazarte combined for 28 points, and the 'Birds committed just nine turnovers en route to a 73-64 victory.
