HONOLULU – Fresno Pacific battled Chaminade tough on Friday night, but the offense stalled as the Sunbirds fell to the Silverswords 3-1 in Hawai'i. Set scores were 25-21, 20-25, 25-17 and 25-12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After nearly winning the opening set, FPU used a 4-0 run in the middle of the second frame to take control. Two service aces from Mikayla Kennedy sealed the set to even the match at 1-1. 
• Chaminade then put its foot on the gas pedal and held FPU's offense at bay the rest of the way to earn the match victory.
 
STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Caroline Bodziak and Madison Pierce led FPU with nine kills apiece, while Carley Bock added seven.
• Greta Dobenecker dished out 30 assists for the Sunbirds.
• Chaminade hit .287 for the match and received 18 kills from Brooke Bell.
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Chaminade set a new program record for wins in a season with its 22nd of the year.
• The Silverswords earned a season sweep of the 'Birds with the decision.
