COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team couldn't hold on to an early lead on Saturday, as the Sunbirds fell at Air Force 20-14 in Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the opening quarter, as five different Sunbirds found the back of the cage.
• The 'Birds added two more goals in the second quarter, but the Falcons pulled even to make the halftime score 7-7.
• The difference in the match proved to be the third quarter, as AFA outscored FPU 7-3 to jump ahead in the match. Air Force then held off the Sunbirds the rest of the way.
STATS OF THE GAMES:
• FPU had a balanced attack on the afternoon, as nine different Sunbirds scored.

Richard Szepesi,
Kyle Eoff and
Cody Wickman all scored twice for FPU.

Joshua Ramage amassed 11 saves in the cage for the 'Birds.
• Air Force received four goals from Campbell Harris and Edward Smet in the win.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• FPU picked up its seventh double-digit goal effort of the season in the setback.
• Saturday's match marked the regular season finale.
• The Sunbirds now await the WWPA Championship seedings, which will be released next weekend. The conference tournament is being hosted by FPU.
