FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's soccer team picked up another PacWest Conference victory on Wednesday night, getting scores from four different players en route to a 4-1 win over Chaminade.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU got on the board early before adding another score midway through the first half to carry a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
• Chaminade cut the deficit in half 14 minutes into the second half, but the Sunbirds limited the 'Swords offensive opportunities for the rest of the night.
• The Blue and Orange added an insurance goal before opening it up to a 4-1 game 10 minutes later.
SCORING:

(7:43) Fresno Pacific drew contact in the box, paving the way for
Eric Sanchez to bury the penalty kick.

(27:40) Joao Ravasio connected with
Anthony Velarde in a crowded box, and Velarde followed with a soft touch to the back of the net.
•
(59:34) Micah Mokulehua stole the ball from his defender as the FPU keeper came out of the box, and Mokulehua beat the keeper in a one-on-one to find an open net.
•
(71:56) Ravasio lined up for a free kick from 22 yards out and went right at Chaminade, bending the ball to the upper left corner for the score.
•
(81:41) Velarde took a corner from the far side of the field, and
Bruno Brumati headed the ball home.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
• FPU outshot their guests 28-12, including a mark of 15-4 in shots on frame.

Patrick Timmer tallied a pair saves before giving way to
Logan Dinsdale for the final six minutes, while Chaminade counterpart Michael Stafford racked up 11 saves in the loss.
• The Sunbirds took 11 of the game's 14 corner kicks.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Velarde has tallied a goal or an assist in all but two Sunbird games this fall, and Wednesday's performance put him atop the conference leaderboard in points.
• FPU remains in the hunt for the postseason, despite dropping to sixth in the Monday's edition of the
West Regional Poll.
