ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team couldn't hold on to a halftime lead on Friday, as the Sunbirds fell to PacWest leader Dixie State 87-74 on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds silenced the home crowd early and jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game.
• After the Trailblazers stormed back into the game, FPU used a 17-6 run the last four minutes of the half to lead 36-35 at the intermission.
• Dixie State then scored 52 second-half points to earn their seventh-straight win.
STATS OF THE GAME:

Sam Burt led the Sunbirds with 22 points and nine rebounds. He finished 7-of-13 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the free throw line.

Elijah Hill scored 16 points and added seven rebounds,
Tyler Harris added 14 points,
Sam Holmes totaled eight points and
Adrian Antunez dished out seven assists for the Sunbirds.
• FPU was held to 39 percent shooting, while Dixie State countered at 44 percent.
• The Trailblazers scored 16 points off 16 Sunbird turnovers, while only committing eight themselves.
• Trevor Hill nearly totaled a triple-double for DSU with 13 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Burt has now scored in double-digits in three straight games.
• Hill's seven rebounds marked a career high, while Antunez also set a new career best with seven assists.
