Sam Burt delivered a monster double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, but the Sunbirds fell to Notre Dame de Namur 84-76 in PacWest play on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
•
Jake Straughan was hot early for the Sunbirds, as the junior nailed four threes in the first half to give FPU a 37-33 lead at halftime.
• The Sunbirds held an advantage with less than nine minutes to play before three consecutive threes from NDNU's Val Wilson gave the Argos the lead for good.
• The 'Birds cut the deficit to four with 1:29 to play, but wouldn't come any closer as NDNU closed out the game with free throws.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Burt's 19 points marked a team-high, while his 15 boards were a game high. He added three assists and two blocks for FPU.
• Straughan finished with 14 points,
Adrian Antunez scored 14 to go along with six steals, five assists and five rebounds, and
Aamondae Coleman totaled 14 points and six rebounds for the Sunbirds in the setback.
• NDNU benefited from 31 free-throw attempts, while FPU only shot four on the afternoon.
• RJ Louis led the Argos with 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
