Visits to Pomona, Carson On Tap for Sunbirds

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's soccer team is set to play two road matches this week, taking on #15 Cal Poly Pomona on Tuesday and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.
 
About the Sunbirds (1-1-0)
• Fresno Pacific looks to get back in the win column after falling to Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday evening.
• FPU is in the middle of a four-game road swing, with each game during that stretch coming against a CCAA opponent.
• The Sunbirds have outshot their opponents 41-22 on the young season, but both of their matches thus far have been separated by one goal.

• CPP has outshot their opponents 44-16 through their first two games, leading to nine goals.
• Six different Broncos have found the back of the net in the early going.

The Series

 About the Toros
• Cal State Dominguez Hills has begun the season 2-0-0 for the first time since 2013. Like the 2013 season, the Toros opened the season with Point Loma and Azusa Pacific.
• The Toros have been a tough team to beat on their home pitch, claiming a 23-5-1 home record since the start of the 2014 season.
• Both of the team's wins this season have been separated by just one goal.
• Cal State Dominguez Hills is coached by Joe Flanagan, who is in his 24th season at the helm and ranks as the school's all-time winningest coach.

• There has only been one shutout in the series' history. It came in the first ever competition between the two schools, as Fresno Pacific defeated Cal Poly Pomona 1-0 in 1979.
