FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's soccer team will play host Dominican on Thursday in the PacWest Conference opener before taking on Point Loma on Saturday night.    
 
About the Sunbirds (1-4-0)
• Fresno Pacific is coming off a 3-1 road loss to Sonoma State last Tuesday, wrapping up a tough 1-4 record in non-league play.
• The Sunbirds have seen their share of offensive opportunities, taking 79 shots, a mark good enough for second in the PacWest.
• Forwards Anthony Velarde and Fellipe Souza have been the focal point of that offense, combining for four scores and 37 shots to date.
