ABOUT THE SUNBIRDS (5-21, 2-16 PACWEST)
The Sunbirds are coming off a loss to Azusa Pacific on Saturday afternoon and looking to snap a five-game skid. After a fairly big third quarter, Megan Lee finished her night with 16 points to lead the Blue and Orange in that category for the second straight time. Viviana Vasquez hauled in a team-high eight rebounds, while Ashley Cross dished out four assists. Despite back-to-back nights of being held under 10 points, Bree Alvarez still leads FPU with 15.5 points per game, good enough for 5th individually in the PacWest Conference. Lee has upped her total to 10.3 points per game while Vasquez, Cross, and Cassie Pisik are combining for 13.5 rebounds per game.

ABOUT THE PENGUINS (14-11, 10-8 PACWEST)
Dominican enters Thursday's game having won three of the last four and eying the final seed in the PacWest Conference Tournament. In a 93-88 overtime home victory against Concordia on Saturday, four Penguins scored in double-figures, including two who recorded double-doubles. Sandra Ikeora continued to make her case for PacWest Player of the Year, tallying game-highs in points (28), rebounds (17) and blocks (4). Ikeora's 22.1 points and 12.9 rebounds per game are the tops in the league in both categories, making her Dominican's only player in the Top 20 in either department.

SERIES HISTORY: FPU VS DOMINICAN
The Sunbirds are 14-4 in the all-time series, but Dominican has taken each of the last four meetings. Earlier this month in Fresno, Ikeora and teammate Taylor Donnot combined for 55 points and 27 rebounds, while Alvarez, Pisik and Lee each scored in double-figures for the Sunbirds.

ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS (13-12, 11-7)
Currently sitting in fifth place in the PacWest Conference, Notre Dame de Namur saw a four-game winning streak snapped at the hands of California Baptist on Saturday. Emily Tevez put up a strong performance, leading the Argos with 18 points and 10 rebounds to round out a double-double. Megan Crenshaw, Aubrey Mendonca, and Marinel Alcantara combined for 34 points in the loss, as potential PacWest Player of the Year Cassidy Mihalko paced CBU with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Marissa Caballero has led the team so far with 15.7 points per game, one slot above FPU's Bree Alvarez on the conference leaderboard.

SERIES HISTORY: FPU VS NOTRE DAME DE NAMUR
FPU claims a 12-3 record in the all-time series against NDNU, including three of the last four overall meetings. Megan Lee seems to enjoy playing the Argos, as her career-high 30 points came against them last February. In this season's previous meeting in Belmont, Lee went for another 24 points, but NDNU defeated the Sunbirds by 12.

HEAD COACH TIM BEAUREGARD
In his first year as the head coach of the Sunbirds, Beauregard returned to FPU after previously serving as an assistant from 2006-10. During a head coaching transition following his final season as the lead assistant at FPU, Beauregard oversaw the program for a brief period, landing top recruit Jenay Herring, who went on to become FPU's second all-time leading scorer.

Following his time at FPU, Beauregard was hired as the lead assistant at Azusa Pacific University where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, including scheduling, recruiting, scouting and practice planning. The Cougars went on to win the 2011 NAIA National Championship after finishing as the national runner-up in 2010.

Beauregard is well connected in the women's basketball world and has served as camp director for nationally-recognized NBC Camps since 2005. He has run over 50 overnight camps and clinics ranging from Canada to Colorado to Southern California, and several spots in between. While at NBC Camps, Beauregard combined and emphasized basketball training with psychological and spiritual training to develop integrity and confidence in his student-athletes.
