FRESNO, Calif.  – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team is scheduled to open league play this week with a two-game road trip to the Bay Area. The Sunbirds will visit Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday before taking on Holy Names two days later.

With PacWest play starting this week, we will get a chance to test ourselves right away and see if we have indeed found our identity. Both NDNU and HNU will present good tests for us to, but we are looking forward to starting conference on a great note." – head coach Tim Beauregard

About Fresno Pacific (2-5)
• FPU fell in the final seconds against Cal State East Bay on Saturday, wrapping up the SFSU Thanksgiving Classic with a 1-1 record for the weekend.
• Cassie Pisik was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, leading the Sunbirds in both categories.
• After Pisik's career-high 20 points on Saturday, four different players have now led the team in scoring this season, and Megan Lee has done so three times.
