HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU started the scoring early, taking the first lead less than 14 minutes into the game.
• Chaminade found the equalizer 16 minutes into the second half, but the Sunbirds answered quickly to regain the lead.
• The Silverswords again pulled even, and the Sunbirds were unable to capitalize on a handful of late opportunities.     Â
SCORING:
• (13:39) After a lob pass down the right sideline,
Jordyn Ryfiak picked up her second goal of the season to give FPU a 1-0 lead.
• (61:05) Caitlin Tatemichi chipped a shot over FPU keeper
Summer Hammond to tie the game for the first time.
• (64:46)
Anissia Gonzalez found the back of the net for the sixth time this season, taking advantage of a free kick.
• (76:21) Tatemichi scored her ninth of the year after beating her defender, tallying the final score of the day. Â
STATS OF THE GAME:
• Fresno Pacific outshot their hosts 26-9, including a mark of 11-3 on frame.
• Hammond recorded only one save, while Chaminade's Brandee Lane recorded nine.
• The Sunbirds earned 12 of the game's 14 corner kicks.    Â
PLAYOFF OUTLOOK:
• With California Baptist's tie on Thursday, the Sunbirds remain one point behind the league-leading Lancers. With an FPU loss or CBU win on Saturday, the Sunbirds would be eliminated from playoff contention.
• An FPU win combined with a CBU tie or loss on Saturday would give Fresno Pacific its first ever conference title. The same result would occur with an FPU tie combined with a CBU loss.
• With an FPU tie, a CBU loss, and an Azusa Pacific win, the Sunbirds would enter a three-way tie for first, which comes down to head-to-head matchups. Fresno Pacific defeated both CBU and APU in the regular season, so this scenario would give the Sunbirds a conference championship.

UP NEXT:
• Fresno Pacific wraps up the regular season on Saturday, when they take on Hawai'i Pacific. Opening whistle from Waipahu, Hawaii is schedule for 3:30 p.m. PST.
