FRESNO, Calif. – Senior Erin Carlson led the Sunbirds to an 8-1 win over Dominican in the Clovis native's final home match in the blue and orange.

Carlson stepped up with two comeback wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. In doubles play Carlson and partner Matilda Ackered were down 3-6 three-quarters of the way through the match before mounting a rally, forcing a tiebreak and taking the point 8-7 (7-5) to give FPU a 2-1 lead heading into singles. Carlson did it again in the one-on-ones rallying from a first set loss to take both the second and third set in a 2-6, 6-3, 10-4 final over Francesca Katafias. Carlson finishes her career as a Sunbird with a 24-22 record in singles and a 22-17 doubles record.

Petra Jurova improved to 19-3 on the season and posted a shutout win over the region's 17th ranked player Irina Morozova 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot. Alison Carre posted her fourth-straight win at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 score and Angelika Sobiecka rebounded from a loss yesterday to earn a 6-0, 6-1 win over Chloe Vicari at No. 4 singles.  

Fresno Pacific will head to Surprise, Ariz. next week as they look to take home a PacWest title, and a trip to the NCCAA National Tournament in Mobile, Ala.
