Biography
As a Junior (2013) - Went 11-14 overall in singles from the #5 and #6 spots for the NCCAA National Champion Sunbirds....compiled a 6-6 record in doubles play with two different partners.Â
As a Sophomore (2012) -Â Went 5-4 for the national semi-finalist Sunbirds at the #6 spot... Earned a 4-1 record in doubles with three different partners in 2012.
As a Freshman (2011) -Â Appeared in six singles matches for the Sunbirds, posting a 5-1 record at the #6 spot....also went 2-2 in four doubles matches with teammate Heidi Jackson.
Prior to FPU -Â Played four years of varsity tennis at Buchanan High School for coach Jonathan Slater....was team captain and won the school's Bear Award as a senior....received the coach's award as a sophomore and junior....named 1st team All-League and All-Valley....led her team to the 2009 Valley title....finished as the Valley's runner-up in doubles play....also played three years of soccer and four years of badminton.
Personal -Â Born April 16, 1992....parents are Gary and Shella....has a younger sister, Taylor....chose FPU for its great teaching program, proximity, christian atmosphere and prestigious tennis program....the people she admires most are her parents....favorite food is tacos....favorite book is The Choice by Nicholas Sparks....favorite movie is Just Friends....listens to Switchfoot and John Mayer....is a fan of the San Francisco Giants....favorite athletes include Buster Posey, Kim Clijsters and Andy Roddick....attends The Well Community Church....hobbies include crafts, scrapbooking, the outdoors and going to the movies....Erin is a Liberal Studies major with a concentration in art and plans to become an elementary school teacher.
