FRESNO, Calif. - Kaohu Gaspar totaled six hits and five RBI as FPU split a PacWest doubleheader with Point Loma on Friday night. J.D. Salles went nine innings in game one, allowing just one run but got the no-decision as PLNU scored two in the top of the tenth off the FPU bullpen.

The Sunbirds fought back in game two as Michael Rodrigues tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Wilson Ashford to earn the win. Gaspar delivered a three-run double with the bases loaded to give FPU the lead in the fourth. Baron Bower added four hits and three runs scored for FPU on the day.

The teams meet up again tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 12 pm. It will be FPU's final home games of the season as the Sunbirds honor five seniors.
