Azusa, Calif. – A 3-0 deficit after doubles proved to be too much for the Sunbirds to overcome as they fell 6-3 to No. 13 Azusa Pacific.

Petra Jurova had a solid day for the Sunbirds posting a 6-3, 6-2 win over Division II's 22nd-ranked player Emily Harris at the No. 1 spot. Freshman Angelika Sobiecka blanked Lindsey Yeom at No. 4 singles earning a 6-0, 6-0 win. Alison Carre continued to impress for the Sunbirds from the second spot with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 win over Natalie Johnson.

The Sunbirds will be tested again on Saturday when they host No. 17 UC San Diego at 10:00 a.m.
