Fresno, Calif. – The Sunbirds ended a four-match losing in emphatic fashion with a 9-0 shutout of Holy Names.

Alison Carre and Laure-Anne Josso gave the Sunbirds a quick 1-0 lead with an 8-0-shutout win over Jasmine Martinez and Lamella Belgica at No. 2 doubles. Petra Jurova and Angelika Sobiecka quickly followed it up with an 8-3 win of their own on the Sunbirds' way to a 3-0 lead.

In singles FPU was equally impressive earning straight-set wins at all six spots. Freshman Megan Lee picked up her first collegiate win in singles in a 6-4, 6-2 win over Prisilla Cobian at No. 5 singles.

Fresno Pacific will take on Vanguard tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at the Haak Tennis Complex.
