Box Score
A late push by Fresno Pacific wouldn't be enough to overcome a poor shooting night as the Sunbirds fell 60-56 at Point Loma Nazarene on Saturday.
Jenay Herring had 14 points and six assists for the Sunbirds (13-11, 5-7 GSAC), who entered the day tied with PLNU and two other teams for fourth in the GSAC.

FPU trailed by 10 with 3:40 remaining before four points by Blackwell and two three-pointers by Rohrbacker brought the Sunbirds within 58-56 with 22 seconds left. The Sea Lions hit two free-throws and FPU was unable to get another bucket on its last possession.
The Sunbirds now travel to #12 Azusa Pacific on Tuesday night. The Cougars won the first meeting between the two teams 99-89.
FPU started the day in a four-way tie for fourth but ended it in seventh place due to the night's other results, including an upset by San Diego Christian over previously unbeaten in conference, Westmont.
