-FPU is still searching for its first GSAC win and has lost three straight, but played #7 Biola tough on the road on Tuesday. PLNU is coming off a last-second 72-71 home loss to The Master's.
-The Sunbirds have lost the last 11 meetings with PLNU, dating back to January 8, 2005.
-The Sea Lions have already lost more conference games this year than they did during all of last season.
-PLNU's leading scorer Kaitlyn Trotter suffered an injury and is out for the season. Guards Crissa Jackson (14.9 ppg) and Brianna Colon (12.2 ppg) are the team's primary scoring options.
-PLNU and FPU rank as the two lowest scoring GSAC teams.
-Jessica Torrecillas has scored 18.4 points per game in GSAC play to lead the Sunbirds. For the season, Jenay Herring and Michele Rebozzi also average in double figures. Kelly Thompson has been the team's leading rebounder, followed closely by Torrecillas.

-PLNU hasn't won a game in Fresno since January 18, 2004.
-The Sea Lions feature a balanced scoring attack led by freshman guard Marek Klassen (14.3 ppg), senior forward James Hancock (12.9 ppg) and junior swingman Greg Murray (11.6 ppg). Junior guard Rhett Beal is the team's leading rebounder (6.5 rpg) and averages 9.6 points per game.
-FPU has seven players averaging seven or more points per game, led by Jordan Wild (12.6) and Jerante Morgan (11.1). In conference games, Morgan has led the way with 12.7 points per game. Point guard Adam Kado has averaged 19 points in the last two GSAC games.
