FRESNO, CA -- Fresno Pacific swept the doubles and won five of six singles matches to claim its season opener 8-1 over Cal State Stanislaus on Saturday at Haak Tennis Center.

The Sunbirds, ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, got singles wins from Vanessa Heroux, Sara Celma, Cristina Vallardes, Erika Januskova and Yulia Blinovskaya.
