Sunbirds travel to San Diego Christian for last GSAC games before break

Fresno Pacific faces San Diego Christian in El Cajon today, with the women's game beginning at 2 pm and the men scheduled to start at 4 pm.

Live Stats

The women's matchup features two teams tied at the bottom of the GSAC standings. FPU (4-4, 0-3 GSAC) has played three tough games against some of the league's best, but has been unable to pull off a win, suffering a heartbreaking 73-70 loss to The Master's on Tuesday.

The Hawks (3-4, 0-3 GSAC) also have a three-point loss to The Master's on their record, and have also been defeated by Hope International and Concordia. The Sunbirds, who swept SDCC last season, will look to get that first conference win today.

The men's game figures to be a battle as the Sunbirds (7-3, 2-1 GSAC) return to the place where they were dealt a surprising loss last season. The Hawks (4-5, 1-2 GSAC) always play well at home, knocking off both FPU and conference champ Concordia last season.

San Diego Christian has a win over Hope International and losses to The Master's and Concordia in its early-conference schedule. The Hawks are not to be taken lightly as they took NAIA #7 Westminster to overtime earlier this season, a team FPU lost to by 13.
