FRESNO, CA – Ashley's Sherr's 7-6 (2), 6-3 win over Marisa Flores at No. 5 singles, completed a singles sweep for No. 2 Fresno Pacific's 9-0 victory over Biola on Saturday afternoon at the Haak Tennis Center.
Fresno Pacific (13-1, 11-0 GSAC) has now won 47 straight GSAC matches.
Biola drops to 2-9 (1-9 GSAC).
Sherr's (Fresno Christian) victory on Saturday avenged a close three set loss to Flores at Biola on February 19th.
Saturday's victory over Biola was the Sunbirds' fifth match in eight days, going 5-0 for the week. Three of the matches were on the road in the cities of Rancho Mirage, Riverside, and Stockton.
Fresno Pacific logged nearly 1400 miles, by car, in their three road contests in a five day span.
The Sunbirds' next match is on March 25th at No. 7 Concordia (9-3, 7-2 GSAC). Match time is scheduled for 12:00pm.
