RIVERSIDE, CA – The No. 2 Sunbirds beat No. 6 Cal Baptist 7-2 at the Pentz Tennis Center in Riverside on Thursday afternoon.
Fresno Pacific remains perfect in the GSAC with a 10-0 record (11-1 overall). Cal Baptist falls to 8-6 (5-4 GSAC).
The Sunbirds have now won 46 straight GSAC dating back to the 2006 season.
Fresno Pacific's top singles player, Katia Sabate, remained perfect this spring boasting a 12-0 singles record.
The Sunbirds' match against the Lancers was the first of three straight contests on consecutive days.
On Friday March 20th, the Sunbirds travel to Stockton for a match against NCAA Division I opponent, University of Pacific. The match against the Tigers is scheduled for 1:00pm.
On Saturday March 21st, the Sunbirds return home for a GSAC match against Biola (2-8, 1-8 GSAC). Preliminary match time is 11:00am.
