FRESNO, Calif. - The 2nd-ranked Sunbird women's tennis team improved their record to 3-0 (2-0 GSAC) on the season with a 6-3 win over host Biola on Thursday.  Singles was played first, with Fresno Pacific leading 4-2 heading into doubles play.  The match was clinched when Katia Sabate/Vanessa Heroux defeated the Eagles' Joelle Tanaka/Christine Garner at the No. 1 slot.

Biola drops to 0-2 in GSAC play.  Thursday's win over the Eagles marked Fresno Pacific's 38th consecutive GSAC victory.

Elizabeth McFeeters (Fresno State/Bullard High) registered her first two wins as a Sunbird with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Nicholle Johnston at the No. 4 singles position.  McFeeters then teamed up with Freshman Ornella Gentile in doubles to oust Brea Roth and Johnston  by a 8-2 score.

Up next for the Sunbirds is a match against unbeaten, 13th-ranked Concordia (2-0, 1-0 GSAC) at the Haak Tennis Center on Saturday, February 21st at 12:00 noon.
