ROCKLIN, CA. - The Sunbird women's basketball team fell a little short Saturday afternoon losing to Northwest Christian 58-46 in the Warrior Classic tournament. Junior forward
Jessica Torrecillas led the way for the Sunbirds with a team-high 14 points while going a perfect 6-6 from the line.
Sophomore guard
Keri Stephanoff also contributed 12 points and snatched 5 rebounds for FPU, while freshman teammate
Brandi Blackwell was strong in the paint with 6 rebounds on the night.
The Sunbirds shot 38.3% from the field, 33.3% from three-point distance, and 72.7% from the line in the contest.
