Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 AZUSA, Calif. - Heading down to the Munson and Bavougian Tennis Complex, the Fresno Pacific tennis teams battled fiercely against Azusa Pacific in the midweek conference matchup.

Although both tennis teams fell to the Cougars, the Lady 'Birds were able to win the doubles point and a singles match before No. 22 APU won 2-5. The Sunbird men also met resistance, falling 0-7 by the end of the match.

On the women's side, Yume Ueoku and Fabiana Gonzalez won the doubles match on court one with a dominant 6-3 showing. Jessica McLean and Halle Faherty rounded up the first point for FPU with a 6-3 win on court two. It was Ueoku who yet again sealed a big point for the 'Birds in her singles match. The junior from Japan swept through the match (6-1, 6-2).

Fresno Pacific women's tennis is 4-4 overall, whereas the men's tennis team is 1-4 overall.
