FRESNO, Calif. - Next week, 18 Fresno Pacific Sunbirds track and field athletes are set to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day event will be hosted in Pueblo, Colorado from Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24.

Coming off a PacWest Championship title, the men's team will send a total of nine to Pueblo. Six individuals will compete in eight individual events, while another three are competing for a crown in the relay events. 

The Fresno Pacific women have a total of five individual entries and two relays competing at the Championships. Seven women will compete across six total events, including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
 
Three individuals land in the top 10 of DII in their respective events. Shemar Palmer takes two top 10 spots, ranking fourth in the 200m (20.49) and second in the 400m (45.77).  Freshman Jonathan Biffle is the other athlete to find a spot in the top 10, ranking fourth in the 100m hurdles (13.69). 
 
Aside from the three listed above, the Fresno Pacific men are also listed as 11th in the 4x400 relay (3:08.43). 

In the field, the men also qualified the duo of Dejan Mileusnic in the javelin and Malichi Carrasco in the high jump. 

On the women's side, four 'Birds land in the top 15 of DII in four individual events. Brianna Green ranks top five in two events, eighth in the 400m (52.90) and second in the 400m hurdles (57.80), with teammate Avril Mendoza ranked ninth (59.41). Teammates Sariyah Copeland ranks 12th in the 200m (23.36) and Nydia Chance is tied for sixth in the 100m (11.30). 

The women also rank top 10 in the relays, second in DII in the 4x100 relay (44.42) and first in the 4x400 relay (3:39.47).
