AZUSA, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds wrapped up a tough road contest against powerhouse No. 6-ranked Azusa Pacificat the Munson and Bavougian Tennis Complex, falling 0–4 in their final PacWest regular season conference match of the year.
The Cougars took early control by securing the doubles point, winning two of the three matchups while the third went unfinished. The 'Birds showed sparks of competitiveness, but Azusa Pacific's nationally-ranked lineup proved too consistent.
In singles play, the Sunbirds battled through several matches, but ultimately dropped three decisions with three others going unfinished as the Cougars clinched the team win early.
Despite the loss, the Sunbirds demonstrated resolve against one of the nation's top programs. Their season continues with lessons learned and eyes set on building momentum in the final stretch.

The Sunbirds will head to Surprise, Arizona for the PacWest Conference Tournament starting on Wednesday April 16th.
