ORLANDO, Florida.- Despite a strong start for the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds, they couldn't hang on against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Thursday morning at Sanlando Park Tennis Complex.
In the doubles, the Sailfish struck first taking court three. The 'Birds however bounced back as the duo of
Yume Ueoku and
Daimy Paula evened the score with a 6-2 win on court one. The doubles point came down to court two, where
Halle Faherty and Margarita Munoz proved victorious with a 6-4 to clinch the doubles point for the 'Birds.
The lead for the 'Birds didn't last long however, as the Sailfish stormed back in the singles clinching the match by taking straight set victories on courts six, five, three, and four for a 4-3 victory.
On courts one and two, Ueoku and Paula had both won their first sets and were knotted up 1-1 and 5-5 respectively in the second when play was halted due to the clinch.

The Sunbirds will hop back into PacWest play as they host the Point Loma Sea Lions Tuesday, March 11th at 10am at the Haak Tennis Complex.
