DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The day after their top-ten victory, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds couldn't follow it up as they fell to 17th-ranked Embry Riddle University Wednesday afternoon at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
The Sunbirds dropped the doubles point to the Eagles, but it wasn't a complete loss. Embry Riddle struck first with a 6-3 victory on court two. The 'Birds however answered back with a victory of their own on court one by
Ben Cronau and
Sven Bangert, 6-3. The clinching match fell on court three where
Brodie Sodersten and
Emilio Seelbach were in a battle that led to a tiebreaker that needed eighteen points to decide. The duo fought until the end, but utlimately fell in the tie breaker 10-8 to give the Eagels the 7-6 victory and the doubles clinching point.
In singles, the Eagles took all six singles courts from the Sunbirds.
Gregor Kliimask won his second second set, but ultimately fell as Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo took the first set (6-3) and then the third set (6-3) as well for the win.

The Sunbirds will head back to Orlando tomorrow for their final match of their Florida trip against Palm Beach Atlantic University at 8:30am PT at the Sanlando Park Tennis Complex.
