SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds came up short Friday afternoon to the Concordia University Golden Eagles at the Westmont Tennis Courts falling 5-2.

In the doubles, wins on court two and three gave the Golden Eagles the early advantage. Yume Ueoku and Daimy Paula were knotted 3-3 on court one when the doubles point was clinched for CUI.
 
The Golden Eagles kept their momentum rolling, only dropping two singles matches, capturing wins on courts six, three, five, and one. 

Daimy Paula secured one the 'Birds two singles points on court two, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. 

Sophomore Halle Faherty earned the second point, with a straight sets win of her own on court four 6-2, 6-3. 

UP NEXT

The Sunbirds will look to bounce back tomorrow with an early morning match against the Westmont Warriors at 10am at the Westmont Courts.
