ROCKLIN, Calif. — Fresno Pacific and Jessup played to a 2-2 draw on Friday at Warrior Field, with the Sunbirds securing their goals from 20 total shots.
The match began with Fresno Pacific taking an early advantage over Jessup. At 9:28,
Brandon Lopez scored the opening goal, assisted by
Chris Macias, putting Fresno Pacific ahead 1-0. Despite several shots on goal, including attempts by
Lucas Ribeiro and
Ernesto Aguilera, Jessup's goalkeeper managed to keep additional attempts from finding the net. The first half concluded with Fresno Pacific maintaining their 1-0 lead over Jessup.
Fresno Pacific regained momentum midway through the second half when
Zion Vaughn scored at the 71st minute, assisted by
Jacob Ramirez, putting them ahead 2-1. Jessup responded with a late goal at 80th minute, leveling the score at 2-2. Fresno Pacific continued to apply pressure with multiple shots and corners, but the period ended with the score tied.
The match concluded with a final score of 2-2.
Fresno Pacific holds a 5-6-2 overall record and is 4-2-1 in conference play.
