CARSON, Calif. — Fresno Pacific fell to No. 16 Cal State Dominguez Hills with a narrow 1-0 defeat in the non-conference match on Monday night. The Sunbirds were relentless in their offensive attempts, tallying eleven shots over the course of the match.
The match commenced with Fresno Pacific taking an assertive approach as
Jacob Ramirez's shot at 12:45 was blocked, followed by a corner kick at 12:53 to maintain pressure. Despite a yellow card for the Sunbirds, Fresno Pacific continued to press forward with
Phillip Rico's attempt striking the top woodwork at 24:39. Cal State Dominguez Hills had multiple shots, but none found the target. The first half concluded without a goal, with the score remaining 0-0.

Elmer Carballo making crucial saves. Despite this defensive effort, Cuevas managed to score in the 81st minute, giving CSUDH a 1-0 lead. The Sunbirds' attempts to equalize included shots by

Bryan Lopez, but the Toros denied their advances. The game concluded with Cal State Dominguez Hills securing a narrow 1-0 victory.
Carballo recorded four saves in the second half, facing 21 shots overall and conceding only one goal. The senior goalkeeper is eight saves away from hitting a career milestone.
Zion Vaughn registered two close shots, with one being a one-on-one break away shot against the goalkeeper. Ribeiro and Lopez also had one shot on target.
The Sunbirds hold a record of 5-7-2 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play.
