FRESNO, Calif.-The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds started strong by claiming the doubles point, but was ultimately on the wrong end of a 4-1 loss to the Point Loma Sea Lions Wednesday morning at the PLNU Tennis Courts. 

Ben Cronau and Sven Bangert gave the Sunbirds a 6-4 victory on Court 2 before Martin Ramirez and Gregor Kliimask followed suit handing the Seal Lions a 6-3 defeat on Court 3 to seal the doubles point. 

The Sea Lions however would bounce back quickly and dominate the singles with straight set wins on Courts 4, 5, 6, and 2 to seal the victory.

When play was halted, Ravi Nelson was attempting the comeback on Court 1 after dropping the first 6-1 and was on serve 6-5 in the second. 

The 'Birds will look to bounce back tomorrow with a match against Menlo College at 12:00 p.m. at the Cornado Tennis Center.
