FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds rolled to victory Friday morning with 6-1 win over the Stanislaus State Warriors.
Nayuma Subba and Yume Ueoku got the 'Birds rolling early with a 6-0 victory on Court 1 extending their nine game win streak.
Closely behind, Elise Leik and Audrey Ouellet clinched the doubles point for the Sunbirds on Court 2 with a 6-2 win.
On Court 3, Daimy Paula and Halle Faherty were up 5-3, with a match point when play was halted.
Subba and Ueoku kept their momentum from the doubles into the singles with a pair of straight set victories with Subba winning 6-0, 6-3 and Ueoku 6-4, 6-1.
The Warriors earned their one point of the day with a win on Court 6.
Three straight victories came next for the Sunbirds as they clinched the win 6-1.
Paula rolled 6-1, 6-2 on Court 4, Ouellet won on Court 3 6-3, 6-4, and Malia Mitchell rounded it out 6-3, 7-5 on Court 5.
FPU will be back on the courts next Friday with a matchup against #30 Azusa Pacific Cougars at 2pm at the Haak Tennis Complex.
