DALY CITY, Calif. - It was a tough day start to finish for the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds who fell to the Academy of Art Urban Knights 7-0 Saturday afternoon at the Bay Club South San Francisco.
Fresno Pacific dropped the doubles point with close matches on all three courts all ending with score 6-4.
In the singles, the Urban Knights quickly took straight set victories on courts two, one, four, and five to take the match.
Despite clinching the match, play continued with close matches on courts three and six.
On court six, Daimy Paula battled but ultimately fell in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
In the last match of the afternoon, Audrey Ouellet won the first set 6-4, dropped the second 6-3, and lost the third set tiebreaker in heartbreaking fashion 10-8.
Fresno Pacific will travel back home for their first home conference match of the season against the Concordia University Irvine Golden Eagles at 2pm at Haak Tennis Center.
