LA MIRADA, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (4-11 overall) dropped their final regular season match of the year on the road to the Biola University Eagles (11-6 overall) Friday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Center.
 
The Sunbirds dropped the doubles point in close matches with losses on courts 1 and 3.
 
Court 2 was tied 4-4 when the Eagles clinched the point.
 
In singles, the Sunbirds hung tough but ultimately lost courts 3, 4, 6, and 5 in straight sets.
 
On Court 1, Brodie Sodersten battled against #29 Alexey Prokopchuk of Biola.
 
Prokopchuk's lone break of Sodersten's serve proved pivotal as he took the first set 7-5. In the second set, Sodersten fought back but ultimately lost the set and the match 7-5, 6-4.
 
On Court 2, Ben Cronau continued with his streak of excellent play. Cronau came out the gate slowly losing the first set 3-6, but he bounced back quickly to take the second 6-1 and the third 6-4.
 
With the regular season over, Fresno Pacific will travel to Surprise, Arizona on April 19 for the PacWest Championships.
