IRVINE, Calif.-The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds dropped a tough match on the road to the surging Concordia University Irvine Golden Eagles 4-0 Thursday afternoon at the CUI Tennis Courts.

CUI proved that they are stellar at home from the beginning as the Sunbirds dropped the doubles point with losses on courts 2 and 3.

On court 1,
Ben Cronau gave it his all in a close match with the Golden Eagles senior veteran Leon Czarnikau.
Â
Cronau won the first set 7-6 in a tie breaker 7-4.
In the second set, Cronau was down 1-4 before the matches were halted due to the clinched victory on courts 2, 3, and 4 by Concordia.

The Golden Eagles continue their home dominance moving to a 7-2 home record this year taking the match in straight sets.

Fresno Pacific will have a chance to bounce back on Friday as they travel to Biola for their final match of the season at 11am.
