SAN DIEGO- After a three week layoff, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (1-3 overall) ran into the red-hot Point Loma Sea Lions (6-3 overall) in a 7-0 loss Monday afternoon at the PLNU Tennis Courts.
 
The Sunbirds dropped the doubles point with losses on courts 1 and 3.
 
Brodie Sodersten hung tight on Court No. 1 falling 7-5 to the reigning PacWest Player of the Week in the first set.
 
The Sea Lions proved that they were in mid-season form the rest of the way, taking the match in straight sets.
 
Fresno Pacific will have a chance to bounce back on Tuesday, moving over to La Jolla for a match with Boston College at Noon.
