OAKLAND, Calif.- Displaying clinical execution, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (2-2 overall) cruised to their second win of the week with a 5-2 defeat of the Holy Names Hawks (1-3 overall) Wednesday afternoon at the Meyer Tennis Courts at Mills College.

The Sunbirds started with a lead, dispatching the Hawks in doubles with a 6-2 on court 1 and a 6-3 win on court 3.

Lea Falentin and Audrey Ouellet won their second doubles match of the week in as many tries, pulling themselves to .500 on the young season in the #1 doubles pairing.

Sanne Brull and Daimy Paula were winning 5-4 when the point was clinched.

Subba followed shortly thereafter with a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

Brull had to battle back from a 6-4 loss in set one and was leading 3-0 in the second when her opponent withdrew due to injury, clinching the match for the Sunbirds.

Ouellet tacked on the final point of the day for Fresno Pacific winning 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).

FPU dropped the final two singles matches on courts 5 and 6 but secured the 5-2 victory on the day.
