FRESNO, Calif.-A long homestand came to an end with the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (7-10 overall, 4-5 PacWest) falling in three sets to the Point Loma Sea Lions (13-4 overall, 10-0 PacWest) Saturday afternoon in the Special Events Center.

All three sets finished 25-20 with Point Loma extending its conference lead with its tenth consecutive conference win.

Claire Corippo led the way for FPU with 8 kills while Madison Girnius continued a strong weekend with 4 blocks.

The Sunbirds will hit the road for four matches beginning with a Tuesday trip to Santa Cruz prior to the Hawai'i trip next week.
