SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Fresno Pacific men's tennis team competed in its first PacWest Tournament match on Thursday, falling 4-1 to the top-overall seed Hawaii Pacific.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sharks were able to steal the doubles point after taking both the No. 2 and 3 matches 6-2.
- Martin Ramirez was able to put the Sunbirds on the board after winning his No. 2 singles match 6-4, 6-1.
- HPU was able to take the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 matches to get the 4-1 win.
- After dropping the first set 6-1, Ben Cronau was tied 5-5 in the second set in the No. 1 match, which was forced to go unfinished.
UP NEXT
The Blue and Orange will take on No. 5 seed Concordia on Friday at 9 a.m. in the consolation round.
